There are 55.5 hours of physician coverage per day supplemented with 20 hours of extender coverage.

Bethesda North Emergency Department has a 24 hour lab (with ISTAT in the department), MRI, and CT. In addition, emergency PCI is performed 24 hours a day. Good Samaritan Hospital ER

The Good Samaritan Emergency Department sees 56,000 patients annually in an urban tertiary care private teaching facility with 700 inpatient beds. We have received the Healthgrades Emergency Medicine award for quality of care both years of its existence and recently received a Healthstream award for having the most improved ED customer satisfaction in the nation.

The patient population of the Good Sam ED includes complex cardiovascular and renal patients, significant OB-Gyn volume (with full OB and NICU back up) and separate adult and geriatric psych cases. We see limited pediatric volume as there is a world class children's hospital one mile away.
