Qualified Emergency Specialists, Inc. was formed in 1984 in response to Cincinnati’s need for high quality emergency department care. Since that time we have grown with the needs of our community serving three hospitals and two freestanding emergency departments. Our integrated health care system partner TriHealth, services the healthcare needs of the greater Cincinnati area.
This relationship provides a flexible and diverse emergency practice experience contributing to a top decile retention rate for our physicians. Over 50% of the physicians in our group have been with QESI for more than 10 years. We have collaborative and long-standing relationships with our Medical and Administrative Leadership.
Mission
Our Mission is to provide innovative, personal, patient centered emergency care. In order to accomplish this we provide the best practice opportunity for our emergency physicians as follows:
- Provide strong administrative support to our partners, freeing them to practice unencumbered, while allowing opportunity to those wishing to diversify their careers with administrative experience.
- Provide our hospitals and hospital-systems the highest quality of administrative support that is innovative, dedicated and responsive to change.
- Promote the practice of emergency medicine and the health of our community through mentorship of the public, EMS personnel, nurses and allied health professionals, as well as medical students and residents.
- Provide medical direction, education, and advocacy for emergency medical services in our area.
- Encourage physician involvement in hospital leadership positions as a means to grow and shape the environments in which we practice.
- Provide a sustainable, independent business model that allows for recruitment and retention of the highest quality physicians and mid-level providers.
